Moyes Concerned About Van Persie Attitude

Manchester United manager David Moyes has growing concerns about the form and attitude of Robin Van Persie.

According to Starsport, the Scottish boss has told friends and colleagues in private that he is worried about the Dutch striker’s contribution to the squad and input around the camp.  Van Persie was the toast of United last season after firing them to the title in his first campaign at Old Trafford.
Moyes Concerned About Van Persie Attitude But he has looked a shadow of his former self this time round due to a string of injuries and some erratic form.
Rumours he wants to leave the champions refuse to disappear, while several of his team-mates fear he is unhappy at Old Trafford.
Moyes has defended the striker in public several times this season and denied reports of a rift between the duo.
But now it is understood he has serious doubts about whether Van Persie can still be part of his long term plans as he looks to rebuild his crumbling team.
Reports emerged in November that Van Persie had become disillusioned with life at United and was not convinced by Moyes’s training methods.  Van Persie has been forced to take a back seat this season and watch Wayne Rooney re-establish himself as United’s talisman once again.
The strike-duo have struggled to click into gear on the pitch and to make matters worse their body language has not been good.  Their partnership hit a new low last week during United’s shambolic Champions League defeat in Olympiakos.
The pair hardly passed to each other, while Van Persie hit out at his team-mates afterwards by accusing them of getting in his way.

United refused to discipline Van Persie for his blast, but Moyes was known to be worried about the £24m hitman even before last week’s woeful events in Greece.
There are now serious doubts about whether or not the Dutchman can raise his game to help United between now and the end of the season.
United bosses have insisted Van Persie will not be sold this summer – even if he tells them he wants to leave.  But the final decision will rest with Moyes as he decides which players he wants to keep to take the club forward.
But it is also understood Moyes has increasing concerns about several other members of his squad following a nightmare start to life as United boss.
He has complained to close associates how surprised he is that some of them are not as good as he thought they were when he took over from Sir Alex Ferguson.
It all points towards there being a mass clear-out of star names this summer, with Rio Ferdinand, Patrice Evra and Nemanja Vidic leading the exodus.
